True VR is almost here!
This is exciting, LCD screens are small enough now to have a decent 1080 pixel screen! Combine that with Wii style motion controls, and you FINALLY get a decent VR headset! It’s called the Oculus Rift, and it’s not at all vaporware, and everything it should be for an entry level VR Headset.
You could even build your own if you wanted to try it out now.

So I get a lot of questions about my faux woodgrain techniques. I’ve done something a little different with each paint job, but I have a pretty consistent system down. So I figured it was about time to put together a post on some of the most Frequently Asked Questions, and maybe help clear some things up!
Mad Moxxi pistol – meet Rubi!
We got such a great response when we posted the Firefly SMG version of a Mad Moxxi that we thought we’d try something more “practical”. This super-soaker (Nerf Electrostorm) is smaller than the SMG, so it might be easier to incorporate into a Mad Moxxi cosplay than an extra-large gun might be – and more affordable.
This one has been decorated to look more like the in-game gun Rubi. While Rubi is manufactured by Maliwan, it has the signature Moxxi color scheme and graphics, with the blue accents to represent elemental shock damage. This protype is being auctioned off right now, and we might make more if people are interested!

Staples is going to be offering 3D printing services!
I just found an article that says that the office supply store Staples is going to be adding 3D printing to its list of services! Go to staples, print out a FACE, and do creepy stuff in the store!
Mad Moxxi SMG made from a Nerf Firefly
Not a lot of people use this gun but it makes a really nice sci-fi or cyberpunk base for painting. This one is the first in what will probably be a series of Miss Moxxi guns. It’s for sale now so head on over to Ebay to place a bid! The auction is over now but it is available by commission at our Etsy shop.
3D Printing! Still not perfect, but it’s pretty amazing!
Looks like Weta’s using 3D printing to help with prop and armor design for The Hobbit!
I’d say “pretty soon you’ll be able to print furniture, houses, and cars”, but it looks like it’s already been done.
Assassin’s Creed III Concept Art
Because there’s been so much hype about the upcoming game, and because it was so highly recommended by a friend, I’ve started playing Assassin’s Creed. I have to admit, I absolutely love it! Because I am not a very good fighter, I always tend to play a stealth game just to stay alive. Assassin’s Creed is made for the stealth player – it requires you to think, strategize, and plan in order to succeed.
Of course, the environments are gorgeous and the graphics hold up surprisingly well for a game of its age (5 years old). Needless to say I am hooked now, so I’m very much looking forward to playing more of the series, including the upcoming Assassin’s Creed III, being released October 30th. I’ve got a roundup of some character concept art for you right here-
