Assassin’s Creed III Concept Art

Because there’s been so much hype about the upcoming game, and because it was so highly recommended by a friend, I’ve started playing Assassin’s Creed. I have to admit, I absolutely love it! Because I am not a very good fighter, I always tend to play a stealth game just to stay alive. Assassin’s Creed is made for the stealth player – it requires you to think, strategize, and plan in order to succeed.

Of course, the environments are gorgeous and the graphics hold up surprisingly well for a game of its age (5 years old). Needless to say I am hooked now, so I’m very much looking forward to playing more of the series, including the upcoming Assassin’s Creed III, being released October 30th. I’ve got a roundup of some character concept art for you right here-

And that’s just the color schemes, the physical ammo and loading animations are pretty damn crazy as well!

Issac Hannaford has a blog…..and it is AWESOME

The man behind most of Halo 3, Halo ODST, and Halo Reach’s vehicle and character concept art has a blog. It is filled with gorgeous hi res concept art from the games. Some of the variations in the artwork didn’t make it into the games, but they’d be pretty damn awesome to make costumes of anyway! Take a look! http://www.isaachannaford.com/

Brink is pretty

Brink might be a flawed game that few people will play, but I”m at least going to be checking it out for the art direction:

Kotaku has a decent article about it, with a link to the Brink Developer’s Diary. I personally like to use IGN’s websites for doing artwork research, they seem to archive every piece of concept art and official screenshot in a high resolution. Here’s Brink’s gallery on IGN.
