Anime Central 2013 – Part One

Made it back from Anime Central (also known as ACEN), where a good time was had by all!  We’ve been going to ACEN for many years now, and it is one of the largest anime conventions in the midwest – the unofficial count we heard was about 26,000 people this year.

As always, the costumes at ACEN were a highlight, and no genre or character was off limits – anime, video games, sci-fi, children’s cartoons, and of course: Pedo-Bear.

Firestrike as a Mass Effect M5 Phalanx

This is one of our new items we’re trying out and the prototype is currently up for auction on Ebay.

The new Nerf Firestrike has a lot of character, and we can see it becoming a favorite Cyberpunk style sidearm. MeowyMeowMeow decided to give it some Mass Effect styling to make it stick out form any of the other upcoming Firestrike paintjobs. What do you think? Should we continue to make this one?

So I figured it was about time to put together a post on some of the most Frequently Asked Questions, and maybe help clear some things up!

Got my copy of DmC early! Here’s a review!

contestheader

The new DmC doesn’t come out for another couple days, and we got our copy on the 10th! We ordered our copy of DmC from the Capcom Store website, because they were giving away free “replicas” of the new Dante’s amulet if you bought the game. I put replica in quotes, because it looks good, but it’s not very accurate. After playing the first few stages, I’ve seen a couple different versions of it used at different times (in game model, load screens, artwork, etc). The game itself isn’t bad, but it’s nowhere near the crazy difficulty of DMC 1 or 3.
